Unified Family Law hailed
Manama : Council of Representatives First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi hailed the promulgation of the Unified Family Law, describing the legal milestone as an unprecedented quantum leap forward. He saluted the trailblazing legislation which brought the two sects in Bahrain under a unified law for the first time, commending the crucial role of the Sharia-review committee which was set up by royal ordinance. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his keenness on striking the balance in all fields, hailing the new legislation as a cornerstone which reflects strong social fabric and communal cohesion.
“The new Unified Family Law will serve as a clear and transparent legal reference for the judicial community, which would contribute to fast-tracking litigation in family-related cases”, he said.
