8th GPCA fertiliser convention in September

ManamaShaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Oil, will patronise the 8th Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA) Fertiliser Convention, which will be held from 26 to 28 September at the Bahrain Ritz Carlton hotel.

Under the theme “New Beginnings: Return to Growth”, the 8th GPCA Fertiliser Convention aims at attracting key figures who are involved in this industry from the region and beyond. It will also delve into main issues pertaining to food security, long-term strategies of manufacturing fertilisers and enhance competitiveness levels as well as protecting the environment.

In its 8th edition, the GPCA Fertiliser Convention is organised by the Arab Fertiliser Association, GPCA’s Fertiliser Committee with the cooperation of the National Oil & Gas Authority
(NOGA).

Key speakers include Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Oil, Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, President of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Khalid al-Mudaifer, President and CEO of Ma’aden, Peter Huang, CEO of China National Chemical Information Center Consulting, Charlotte Hebebrand, Director General of International Fertilizer Association, and Robert Smulders, Vice President of Maire Tecnimont Innovation Center.

Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, Chair of the GPCA Fertilizer Committee and President of GPIC said that GPIC will do its best for the success of the upcoming conference.

The convention is an annual event that creates a platform for key regional industry figures, consumers and government representatives to explore key issues regarding food security and long-term strategies.
