Al Hamala down Al Eker

Manama : Al Hamala Youth Centre came from two goals to defeat Al Eker Youth Centre 3-2 in a Group 8 match on the sixth day of preliminary round matches in the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) on Saturday at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.

Al Eker opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Hussain Fathallah and Mahmoud Abdullatif doubled the lead a minute later, then Al Hamala rallied with goals from man of the match Ali Saleh (19th) and (28th) with the winner coming from Ali Abdullah (37th). 

In Group 1, Buri held defending champions Safra to a thrilling 3-3 draw after coming back from three goals down as Safra led through goals from Fawzi Jeshwa (6th), Fawaz Abdel Sattar (10th) and Hamza Khalid (17th).

Then Buri came back strongly with goals from Sayed Hassan Jawad (19th), Sayed Hussain Sayed Hassan (29th) and the equaliser from Sayed Mahdi Sayed Mohammed (37th), with Sayed Abdullah Sayed Ahmed man of the match due to his influence out on the pitch.

In another Group 1 match, Karzakan edged out Al Buhair 4-3, after taking a 3-0 lead through Mohammed Abbas, Mohammed Ashour and Mohammed Saeed. Al Buhair then pulled a goal back through player Ahmed Al Qabbat, before Mohammed Saeed scored his second goal and the fourth for his team to secure victory, with Mohammed Said Al Fardan of Karzakan named man of the match.

This match saw the first sending off so far in the championship when Al Buhair’s Hassan Abdul Redha was given his marching orders after picking up two consecutive yellow cards in the 34th and 35th minutes, which was officiated by Rami Kaabi, Ahmed Mohammed Khalil and Mohammed Ghazi.

The third match in Group 1 saw Al Muharraq gained a tough 4-3 victory over Abu Saiba and its first in the group stage after coming back from 2-0 down at half time thanks to fine inspirational play by man of the match Jassim Al Jiben in the second half.
