Man used 22 forged credit cards to steal over BD2,800
Manama : A Chinese man used 22 forged credit cards to steal over BD2,800 before fleeing the country, according to a complaint before the court. The cards were used to buy mobile phones worth BD2,886 from 15 shops in Bahrain. He also used the cards to pay for his stay in different hotels in the Kingdom.
The Fifth Higher Criminal Court adjourned the case to August 16 to announce the verdict in absentia as the man had left Bahrain as shown in the investigations.
The case was revealed when CrediMax Bahrain informed the authorities that a man used credit cards of Chinese banks without obtaining permission from their owners.
Further investigations indicated that the suspect, with the help of another unknown suspect, issued the fake cards and used it to in several scams.
However, no details were revealed about the man’s identity or location.
