Ahmed Amir visits Bahrain
Manama : Ahmed Amir, professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter from Egypt, visited the Kingdom of Bahrain during the Bahrain Open Championships alongside Egyptian national team.
The athlete who competes at the welterweight division of Brave Combat Federation has praised the role of Bahrain as a global combat sports destination and for the contribution of the initiatives towards the development of Arab athletes.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain has contributed immensely towards the growth of the sport of MMA. Brave Combat Federation found by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has transformed the lives of athletes especially in the Middle East. It was impossible for Arab athletes to access such platforms a year ago. This has opened economic opportunities for many youth and is motivating them to embrace a healthy lifestyle,” explained Ahmed Amir.
The international athlete had risen to fame after shocking the MMA world by defeating the Jiu Jitsu expert from the United States of America - Richie Martinez, after reversing submission attempts thrice. In the fourth edition of Brave, Ahmed Amir had victory by technical submission over Kevin Kobdolsky from Argentina, who is trained by the same coach as that of Conor McGregor at Straight Blast Gym, Ireland. The Egyptian fighter expressed his interests to compete in the Brave International Combat Week.
Brave Combat Federation has announced to launch the prestigious Brave International Combat Week in the month of November.
