Bahrain’s Batirov eyeing UWW title
Manama : Bahrain’s Adam Batirov is set to compete in the 65kg category in the 2017 United World Wrestling (UWW) Championships in France today.
Batirov was subjected to the customary official examination of his weight in the presence of Colonel Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat, Board Member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, President of the Bahrain Management Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BMMA) Federation, administrator Eldar Aldarov and coach Habib Bairov.
Batirov said: “My preparatory programme has finished successfully led by coach Habib Bairov and administrator Elder Aldarov and have reached the point of readiness and hope to get a positive result for Bahraini wrestling against a strong field of prominent wrestlers.”
