Bu Quwah enter quarter-finals
Manama : Bu Quwah Youth Centre defeated North Sehla Youth Centre 8-4 to reach the quarter finals in the final Round of 16 knockout matches in the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.
The victory was inspired by Salman Abdul Redha who scored five goals and named as the man of the match by the organising committee.
In the final match of the round, HamadTown Youth Centre beat Sanabis Youth Centre 4-2 with man of the match being nominated to Mohammed Abdulkareem of Sanabis for his exceptional performance despite his team’s loss.
The committee announced that the quarterfinals will be held immediately after Eid Al Adha holidays and will include the following matches: Ras Rumman take on Sanad, Muharraq play South Sehla, Al Naeem are matched up with Bu Quwah and Jidhafs face off with Hamad Town.
Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Football Association was the latest dignitary to visit the league, accompanied by Ibrahim Al Sinan, Majestic Car Showroom General Manager and Arif Al Mannai and viewed the photo gallery and met with the organisers, referees and players.
The committee announced that the preliminary matches in the girls’ teams tournament will conclude today and that a press conference will be held at 7pm on the same day at the venue of the league to announce the latest developments and results of the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League.
This tournament is being played under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.
