Superb win for Giving

Manama Team Giving defeated Team Determination 3-0 in the latest matches of the Girls’ competition of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.

Team Determination also lost their second match of the day, going down 3-0 to Team Insistence, while the last match of the preliminary stage saw Team Insistence defeat Team Giving 4-0 in a breathtaking game.

The organising committee announced the four teams qualifying for the semi-finals are Team Will, Team Hope, Team Insistence and Team Giving.

Three players were honoured by the organising committee for their good performance in the matches. The honoured players were Julia from Team Giving, Hessa Riyadh from Team Determination and Team Insistence goalkeeper Huda Mohammed.

The latest dignitaries attending the matches were, Nayla Al Meer, Member of Bahrain Weightlifting Federation Board of Directors, Maria Khoury, Member of the National Institution for Human Rights and Dr. Jameela Al-Sammak, who also met with the organising committee and visited the photo gallery organised on the sidelines of the league and Adel Al Assoomy, Member of the House of Representatives.

tournament is being played under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.

It started on July 24 and continues until September 14 and features 59 teams, divided into 36 youth centres teams, 9 unregistered clubs, 8 teams of people with disabilities institutions and 6 girls teams.
