Muharraq park project on track
Manama : Work on Muharraq grand park will likely start in the first quarter of next year, it was revealed .
“The development project has been included in the 2017-2018 fiscal year”, said the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry said that the project would be carried out in two phases following the court ruling which ordered the previous investor to vacate the site. Bids will be invited for the construction of the fence, which would likely start during the last quarter of this year.
The ministry is now drawing up the engineering designs for work on infrastructure components to start early next year. Muharraq Grand Park, located near BIA, covers more than 9 hectares.
