Accolades for BMBF for distributing food, water
Manama : Thousands of labourers benefitted from the recent charity drive organized by Bahrain Malayali Business Forum’s (BMBF) Youth Wing, which concluded on Friday. The 52-day campaign distributing food, water and juice to low-income group reached to over 17, 000 people, according to the organizers.
“We distributed water, juices, fruits and sandwiches. More than 17000 bottles of water were handed out and 6000 juice bottle were distributed as well as 70 boxes of banana and 25 boxes of oranges. Sandwiches, samosas and apple were also distributed,” said BMBF founder and secretary Basheer Ambalayi.
“I will always pray for the Bahrain Malayalee business forum because a lot of us works in this extreme heat and cannot find even a drop of water to refresh ourselves. It is at this time of our difficulty that the BMBF members supplied us with chilled water, fruits and eatables. I will always pray for them. God bless each and every one of them,” said Mohammed Isa Khan, a Pakistani national, who works at Mahooz.
“I am forever grateful to the Bahrain Malayalee Business Forum for helping us quench our thirst by giving us refreshments in this extreme heat,” said Bangladeshi national Noor Al Islam.
“It is rare for us to meet such people who helps us by understanding our working conditions and supplying us with food and drinks to make our work more easier. They are doing a good deed by helping us. They are showing the goodness of Bahrain by these kind of activities and I am forever grateful to the Kingdom and to the BMBF,” Kumar who works at a construction site in Juffair said.
