Movement Disability, Bahrain Deaf Society advance to final

Manama : The two teams have been determined that will meet in the finals of the people with disabilities tournament of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League at the Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.

In semi-final action, the first team to qualify for the final match on Thursday was the Movement Disability Team, which defeated the Bahrain Deaf Society Team 3-1, with Jalal Makki named as man of the match despite being on the losing team.

The second match saw the Special Olympics Team defeat the Deaf Team by 4-1  with Mosa Al Qaidoom named as man of the match from the winning team.

Attending the matches was Nabeel Al Balooshi, Member of the House of Representatives and Nasser Mohammed, a renowned Bahraini Journalist.

They were received by members of the Supreme Organising Committee and visited the photo exhibition organised on the sidelines of the league and met with the players and referees.

Matches continue today in the main tournament, with Sanad Youth Centre taking on Bu Quwah Youth Centre at 5pm and followed at 6pm by Muharraq Youth Centre and Jidhafs Youth Centre at 6pm.

A new winner is assured as all previous winning teams have been eliminated.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities has approved the prize allocation for the participants and spectators of the tournament.

The Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League is jointly organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid under the slogan #Generations_Meeting. 

Launched on 24 July, the league continues until Thursday and includes three different tournaments and 59 teams that represent youth centres, local unregistered clubs, people with disabilities and girls’ teams for the first time this year.
