Bahrain strongly condemns missile firing
Manama : Bahrain strongly condemned North Korea’s firing of a ballistic missile over Japan’s Hokkaido island.
It also criticised the repeated provocations and unacceptable violation of the relevant Security Council resolutions, which constitute a serious threat to international peace and security, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom said in a statement.
The Ministry reiterated the solidarity of the Kingdom with friendly Japan and its support to all measures that preserve its security and stability.
The Ministry called on North Korea to abide by the Security Council’s resolutions and to engage constructively with all peace efforts.
It stressed the need of the international community to continue its efforts to stop all activities and practices that cause tension, and highlights the importance of supervision of the International Energy Agency of all nuclear programmes and activities.
