Crown Prince receives US envoy, outgoing Fifth Fleet commander

ManamaHis Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, William Roebuck and the outgoing US Fifth Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Kevin Donegan, at Riffa Palace yesterday.

His Royal Highness highlighted the long-standing ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US, noting both countries’ commitment to strengthening cooperation across various fields.

His Royal Highness went on to emphasise HM King Hamad’s ongoing support for advancing Bahrain-US ties, which are vital to achieving both countries’ shared interests and strategic goals

His Royal Highness recognised the important role of the US Fifth Fleet in strengthening security cooperation efforts, and stressed Bahrain’s firm commitment to providing strategic support and boosting counter-terrorism collaboration with its international and regional allies

His Royal Highness concluded by extending thanks and best wishes to Vice Admiral Donegan for his service in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. 

His Royal Highness also welcomed the new US Fifth Fleet Commander, Vice Admiral John Aquilino, wishing him every success in his new role.
