Governor inspects religious procession routes in Bahrain

Manama : Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, has assured to facilitate the Muharram event in the Kingdom in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister.

This came as the Governor of the Capital visited the procession routes in the Capital to identify the needs required to carry out the processions smoothly as well as ensure safety to the commuters during the Ashoora processions this year. 

“The Capital Governorate will coordinate with the security services to ensure the success of the event this season as well as promote cultural and religious diversity and harmony in the Kingdom,” Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, told DT News.

The Governor praised the support and guidance of His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and the level of coordination and cooperation shown by the heads of the Husseini processions in the capital province with the concerned authorities in order to make the Ashoora season this year a success.

The Director of the Capital Police Directorate, Brigadier General Khalid Mohammed Al-Thawadi, the Chairman of the Endowment of Jafariyah Sheikh Mohsen Abdul Hussain Al-Asfour, the Deputy Governor of the Capital, Hassan Abdullah Al-Madani, and a number of officials in the Ministries of Service, And the General Authority of the Husseini Processions accompanied the Capital Governor.
