Create more beautiful future of the bilateral relations between China and Bahrain

This year marks the 68th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 68 years is just a short episode compared with the time-honored China’s history of over five thousand years and rich Chinese civilization. But the past 68 years, especially the past 39 years after the adoption of the policy of reform and opening-up, has witnessed remarkable and universally acknowledged achievement in building socialism with Chinese characteristics made by China. China’s great achievement should be attributed to the firm leadership of the Communist Party of China and the hard work and unremitting efforts of the Chinese people as well as international friends support. China has made and will continue to make great contributions to the development of the mankind.

Meanwhile, we soberly aware that China has population of 1.3 billion people as well as weak economic foundation. Imbalance in development between urban and rural areas, vulnerable ecological environment and extensive economic development ways are still serious. A small difficulty multiplied by 1.3 billion would be turned into a great challenge, similarly any great achievement divided by 1.3 billion could become insignificant. In this context, China is still in the primary stage of socialism and will long remain so. This basic national condition of China has not changed, nor has China’s international position as the biggest developing country in the world. Therefore development is always on the top agenda of the Communist Party of China in governing and rejuvenating the country, Chinese people’s yearning for a better life will always be the first priority for the Communist Party of China.

On the 18th of next month, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will convene in Beijing. The congress is a very important meeting to be held when China is striving for its final victory for achieving a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, and at a critical time for the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It will be of great significance and far-reaching impact in  Chinese history. There is no doubt that China’s domestic and foreign policies will remain consistent and stable. Meanwhile, China will also take into account the new requirements for development and draw out guidelines and policies that respond to call of the times.

It is estimated that in the next 5 years China will import commodities which worth $8 trillion, and the total amount of outbound investment will reach $ 750 billion. China is ready to share its experiences and opportunities with all the other countries and welcome them to join the voyage and sail together towards common development.

Friendship between China and Arab states dates back to ancient times and will continue and grow. Over the past 28 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relationships between China and Bahrain, the high-level exchanges have become more frequent, the political mutual trust has been constantly strengthened, the economic cooperation has been rapidly promoted and the cultural exchanges and cooperation have achieved great success. The development of our bilateral cooperation has brought benefits to our two peoples, and will also promote strategic cooperation between China and GCC countries and make contributions to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region. We do believe that the future of our bilateral relations will be more beautiful!
