Drug peddler arrested in Bahrain
Manama : Security authorities yesterday announced the arrest of a man for peddling and possessing narcotics worth over BD50, 000.
“Heroin and currency notes worth of BD51,000 were confiscated from the Asian man,” said Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science General Director Colonel Abddulaziz Al Rumaihi in a statement.
Al Rumaihi said that the department acted on a tip-off, following which an investigation was made, leading to the identification and arrest of the culprit and the confiscation of the narcotics. He added that legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution. The directorate also released picture of the man along with the confiscated narcotics.
