HM receives gift from Queen Elizabeth II
Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday received a three-year-old horse as a gift from Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. It is a three-year-old Arabian horse of Bahraini breed, which was produced by the stables of the British queen and is named Hamdani Ra’ad.
HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for the gift which reflects her keenness and interest in the Arabian Bahraini horses that are characterised by their beauty and purity.
HM King Hamad stressed that the gift mirrors deep-rooted historic relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, affirming the glorious heritage and cultural history both countries
have.
HM the King also expressed appreciation of solid historic relations between the royal families of the two friendly countries.
The gift was handed over in the presence of the British ambassador to Bahrain and his wife as well as a number of invitees.
HM the King and the guests watched a show of pure Arabian Bahraini horses and Arabian horses from the royal stables which are characterised by their beauty and quality.
