Exciting races await fans

ManamaAn exciting programme of high-octane motorsport awaits race fans this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.

On Friday, speed enthusiasts will be able to enjoy an Ultimate Track Experience from 8am to 3pm, to be followed on Saturday by an Open Track for cars and bikes from 12noon to 7pm.

On Friday, action will be held from 8am to 3pm while on Saturday it will be from 12noon to 7pm.

Friday’s action includes a drive in a Clio Cup sports car, a drive in a Radical SR1 prototype, and a passenger ride in an ultra-quick Radical SR3 prototype.

The Clio Cup drive is available for BD120 and includes a pair of six-lap sessions and the entire experience lasts roughly two-and-a-half hours.

Meanwhile, the Radical SR1 drive promises the ultimate adrenaline rush and includes two five-lap sessions that could last up to around two-and-a-half hours at the cost of BD140. Completing the Clio Cup drive is required before taking part in the SR1 experience.

The Radical SR3 passenger ride will be conducted alongside one of BIC’s expert driving instructors and costs BD35 for a three-lap session of around 40 minutes. On Saturday, Open Track participants will be able to enjoy BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Circuit.

The cost to take part is BD75 for the whole day and BD50 for a half day. There is also an option at BD20 per session.

Open Track is one of the most popular and highly subscribed events at BIC, and this weekend’s event is expected to attract racing enthusiasts from all over Bahrain and even from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE.
