Alpha Fire Safety advance

Manama : Alpha Fire Safety defeated Indian Rising Star by seven wickets in the latest round of Cricket Bahrain Association (CBA) Division B T20 matches at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.

Batting first, Indian Rising Sun finished on 161 for seven in its 20 overs with Karthik (39) and Arun (29) the main scorers and Thilina (two for 47) the best of the bowlers.

In reply, Alpha Fire Safety reached the top scoring 162 for three in 19.4 overs  with the main scorers being Omran (55), Rizwan (45) and Thilina 30). 

Tornado  beat Ritz Carlton by four wickets after the latter finished on 165 for seven with Luqman (47) the main scorer and Shabeeb the best of the bowlers.  In reply, Tornado reached the target in 19 overs after scoring 166 for six in 19 overs thanks to fine knocks by Ratheesh (53) and Taveez (34) despite a good spell of bowling by Luqman (two for 32).

In Division C action, Awali Bapco comfortably beat ACL Haseena Upholstery by eight wickets with the latter finishing on 156 for eight in 20 overs with Sajjad (39) and Ali (38) top scoring, while Sukesh (three for 29) and Niraj (two for 32) dominated the bowling.

Awali Bapco then breezed to victory scoring 157 for two.
