Shaikh Nasser gets a grand welcome in Chechnya

Manama : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday arrived to a red carpet welcome in the Chechen Republic, with Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, the President of the country, receiving him in a grand ceremonial welcome at the airport. 

The Prime Minister, the Speaker and several other ministers of the Chechen Republic as well as Ahmed Al Saati, the Bahraini Ambassador to the Chechen Republic were also present at the airport to receive Shaikh Nasser, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on his arrival. 

In his arrival statement, Shaikh Nasser spoke about the close relationship bonding the two countries and their people and extended the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Kadyrov. 

Shaikh Nasser told Kadyrov: “His Majesty King Hamad is keen on building strong relations with the Chechen Republic based on the solid pillars of communication, love, mutual cooperation and bilateral trust.”

Shaikh Nasser also commended the results achieved by Kadyrov’s visit to Bahrain, where he met HM the King, which resulted in enhancing the friendly ties.

Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser wished the Chechen President success and prosperity in leading his country’s development march and expressed his satisfaction in the success achieved by both the countries in growing bilateral ties in various sectors. 

Shaikh Nasser later attended an official luncheon hosted by Kadyrov at the Presidential Palace. It’s worth noting that the luncheon was attended by several ministers and senior officials from the Chechen Republic.
