Brave to feature athletes from 22 nations

Manama : Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation has announced that in the latest event to be held in Bahrain under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, athletes from 22 nations will compete in professional fights. Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions will be hosted by Bahrain and will feature 16 professional bouts at Khalifa Sports City on 17 November. 

Athletes are confirmed from Bahrain, USA, UK, Russia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Brazil, Ireland, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Iraq, Palestine, Algeria, Philippines, Mexico, Lebanon, Sweden and South Africa. 

The event is so far the largest mixed martial arts event hosted in the Middle East and one among the largest that Asia and Europe had witnessed. So far two championship title bouts have been announced. The event will be a part of the Brave International Combat Week which also features 2017 IMMAF World Championships held under the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

“The Kingdom of Bahrain is the focus of global attention due to the swift implementation and development of the sports media industry in the nation. No nation had developed the industry in such a short time and this is bringing Bahrain as a leading player in the global sports scenario. We hope that these initiatives will open new avenues in global relations, revenue and employment for the citizens of Bahrain”, said Mohammed Shahid.
