Umpires training course today
Manama : The Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) will organise its Second Umpire and Line Umpire Course today at its premises in Juffair.
This is part of the BTC initiative and club policy to train and develop tennis referees and inform them of everything new in the tennis laws and held under the supervision of international referee, Ahmed Al Hawaj, Arbitration and tournament management from the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The course will be attended by nearly 40 participants from the Ministry of Education, six members of the BTC board and trainers of the Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF), as well as trainers, staff and members of the BTC.
It will start at 9am and continue until 1pm and includes, theory and presentation of video, photos and practical exercises.
At the end of the course, certificates will be presented to all participants.
To encourage the highest number of applicants, the club’s board of directors has decided that the course will be free and free of charge to any of the current tennis referees, coaches, BTC members, teachers and anyone interested in tennis arbitration.
