Brisk preparations for Combat Week

ManamaThe Preparations are continuing to host the Brave International Combat Week, affirmed by Khalid Al Khayat, President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), Member of the Supreme Organising Committee and Head of the Executive Committee of the World Amateur MMA Championship.

Organised under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, it will be held in Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town on November 12-19.

Al Khayat said the fourth edition of the championship is organised for the first time in Bahrain and Asia, reflecting the aspirations of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of BMMAF to develop MMA sports in the Kingdom and the entire region, adding that the organising committees are sparing no efforts to achieve the visionary of Shaikh Khalid for the sport.

He was updated by the working committees on the latest developments and preparations and urged them to intensify their efforts to prove the capability of hosting such reputed international championships.

The championship within the International Combat Week, also features other activities and events such as the ninth edition of Brave MMA championships held under the title “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions”. 

The organisers said they are continuing their preparations for the events as nearly one month remains, adding that Golden Tulip Hotel has been chosen as the official residence of the visiting delegations.
