ISB Mega Fair and Food Festival begins
Manama : Thousands of visitors thronged the grounds of the Indian School as part of the two-day ISB Mega Fair and Food Festival 2017 that began last night at the school campus in Isa Town.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by guests of honour Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha, Bahrain Polytechnic Chairman Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Ministry of Education’s Private Education Director Ahlam Ahmed Al Amer, Traffic General Director Khulood Yahya Ebrahim Abdulla and Labour Market Regulatory Authority CEO Ausama Al Absi.
School Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering. Chairman Prince S Natarajan gave the presidential address and Secreatary Dr Shemily P John gave vote of thanks.
The Mega Fair General Convener Mohammed Hussain Malim and members of the Executive Committee and the Organising Committee were also present at ceremony.
The sponsors of the fair were felicitated during the event.
Various stalls were put up by the staff and students of ISB. The food stalls organized by the teachers featured a wide array of sumptuous and delicious flavours from across India.
A huge crowd visited the stalls on the first day rewarding the priceless efforts put forth by the school teachers.
Students with guidance of their teachers actively participated by putting up various game stalls including virtual reality shows, face painting, henna designing, nail art and so on.
Indian playback singer Nakash Aziz and troupe entertained the crowd with a musical programme.
Today popular singers Srinivas, Jyotsna and Vishnu Raj will perform a musical programme.
The programme will be held from 6pm to 11pm. The entry fee for the Indian School Mega Fair is BD 2.
The first prize winner of the Mega Raffle Draw to be held on October 13, will take home a Zayani Motors sponsored Mitsubishi car. The revenue generated from the fare is mainly used for charitable activities of the school and the welfare of teachers.
