Entries open for first ACE Media Award in Bahrain

Manama : The first annual ACE Media Award 2017 ceremony, which recognises exceptional accomplishments or contribution to the media industry, will be held on  November 16, 2017. 

The event will be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletics Association. 

This was announced by Mohammed Shahid, Chairman of KHK holding during a press conference held yesterday at the K Hotel. 

“This initiative of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad and KHK Media Group is to make the media industry one of the leading industries in the Kingdom,” said Shahid. 

The award, Mohammed Shahid said, will celebrate distinguished achievement in all facets of the media industry and recognise individuals and organisations for their efforts in endorsing Bahrain nationally and internationally. 

Categories for the awards are: Marketing campaign of the year (Digital), Marketing campaign of the year (Print), Digital influencer, Influencer of the year, Sports media property of the year, Sports initiative of the year, Athlete of the year, Music Album of the year, Innovative business concept, Best press photo, Journalist of the year and Community club of the year.

The event is supported by top media entities, Ministry of Information Affairs along with TRA and HHSK Media office.

Evaluation Process

Once applications are closed shortlisted entries will be chosen for each category according to clearly defined criteria. Shortlisted applicants will be presented to the judging panel, who will select the winners for 2017.

Once the evaluation process is complete winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony on 16 November 2017.
