Star-studded guest list unveiled for IGN

Manama : Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbaek and American professional wrestler Oscar Gutierrez better known as Rey Mysterio were announced as the celebrity guests for this year’s IGN Convention.

IGN Convention Bahrain, an International Exhibition specialised in pop-culture and is coming back for its fifth edition this weekend. Tarteeb Events will host the exhibition this Friday and Saturday at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The previous 4 editions of the convention were attended by many international celebrities including actor Giancarlo Esposito from the TV show Breaking Bad, actor Hafthor Bjornsson from Game of Thrones, Voice actor Troy Baker from the video game The Last of Us and Wrestling legends Booker T and Kurt Angle.

This year Danish actor Pilou Asbaek who plays Euron Greyjoy on the popular television series Game of Thrones will be attending IGN Convention alongside WWE Wrestler Rey Mysterio.

Organisers also announced it will feature fun activities for this years edition including a Cosplay contest and video games tournaments for games such as FIFA, Call of Duty and Overwatch. The event will also feature a host of interactive games both in the Indoor and Outdoor Area, as well as live on stage concerts.

Tarteeb’s Chief Operating Officer Mohamed Alsulaiti said that IGN has grown rapidly since its first edition. “When we first started IGN Convention we started with 3000 attendees and 15 vendors exhibiting at the event. Now we have more than 60 vendors exhibiting at our event and we are expecting upto 15,000 attendees from 23 countries. The number of activities we have for the event this year is also higher than previous years. In our earlier editions we only had local vendors but now we have vendors from even South Korea and Japan.” he said during a press conference yesterday.
