Warning against building rule violators; Bahrain
Manama : Director-General of Civil Defence has asserted the importance to follow general safety standards of buildings and establishments to protect lives. He warned that violators would face legal action.
He said that the department continues to take legal steps against unlicenced establishments or properties with no safety certificates. He said that the recent fire cases in stores and warehouses were considered as violations of security and safety conditions, highlighting that the Civil Defence has the right to inspect violations by the Civil Defence law. He affirmed that penalties could be closing down buildings and jail terms.
