Oldest Bahraini lady dies at 103
Manama : The oldest Bahraini woman died at the age of 103 on Sunday. Amina Al Sabah was buried on the same day in Bilad Al Qadeem graveyard.
She was born in Rasrumman village back in 1914 and lived there most of her life.
She memorised the Holy Quran by heart and gave Quranic lessons in the area for decades.
She was also one of the first personalities to fight illiteracy, before the establishments of schools in Bahrain.
The deceased later moved to live in Bilad Al Qadeem village with her grandchildren and was known for her social activities and service to the communities of both villages.
