Safejawz to launch Golden Mouthguard Award
Manama : IMMAF World Championships held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will introduce the first Golden Mouthguard Award at the 2017 IMMAF World Championships medals ceremony in Bahrain.
The amateur MMA world championships held at the Khalifa Sports City Arena from 12 to 18 November is part of BRAVE International Combat Week.
The Safejawz Golden Mouthguard Award 2017 will be presented to the athlete who is voted as stand-out in their commitment to the sport and values of MMA.
Nominations will be reviewed by experts including world-renowned MMA referee, Marc Goddard, to select 10 candidates. Two candidates will enter the final round through a public voting process. Winner will be selected by the IMMAF President.
Bahrain will become the first Asian or Arab country to host an IMMAF World Championship, the world’s most prestigious amateur Mixed Martial Arts tournament, outside Las Vegas, Nevada this year.
