School visits initiated to boost Brave Combat Week

Manama : School visits were held by key officials of KHK MMA and Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation to promote 2017 Brave International Combat Week. 

Brave International Combat Week will be hosted from 12 November till 19 November across Bahrain. 

The International Combat Week features the first ever IMMAF World Championship hosted by a nation other than the United States of America. 

The event is hosted under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Also featured are Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions hosted under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The International Combat Week is the largest combat festival hosted in the history of Middle East. International Combat Week will showcase food festival, road show and Ace Media Awards 2017. The event will bring global attention to the Kingdom of Bahrain as athletes, officials and celebrities from over 40 nations will be visiting Bahrain during the week. The event will raise awareness about health and holistic development of the youth apart from opening opportunities in foreign direct investment, diversification of the economy, growth in service industry and tourism. There had been a significant growth in the technology enabled media services industry in Bahrain that caters to sports media after the expansion of MMA in Bahrain.

Brave 9 hosted in Bahrain is the most diverse fight card ever hosted in Asia, featuring athletes representing 21 nations and featuring three championship title fights. 2017 IMMAF World Championships is the largest that is hosted in the history of the World Championships, which marks a milestone crossing the much smaller and less funded World Championships hosted in Las Vegas during the UFC Fight Week. 

During the visit the role and opportunities of the youth of Bahrain in sports and media industry was elaborated. The event will also provide opportunity for students to volunteer and intern in the sports promotion to explore avenues of interest and to streamline their career goals in the emerging sports and media industry in Bahrain.
