Shaikh Khalid meets Bahrain media representatives

Manama : First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of West Asian Athletics Federation, President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) and President of the International Combat Week Supreme Organising Committee and Fourth World Amateurs MMA Championship HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday received Information Affairs Minister Ali Al Rumaihi, in the presence of Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham Al Jowder and chief editors of local newspapers.

During the meeting, HH Shaikh Khalid asserted on the significance of the championship, which is organised for the first time outside the United States under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative of Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al
Khalifa. Among the attendees at the meeting was DT News Chief Editor Captain Mahmood Al Mahmood.

HH Shaikh Khalid affirmed that local media will play a key role in the success of the international event.

He thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the supporting stances that contributed in the success and development of local sports.

The championship is jointly organised by Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) and the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) in cooperation with the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

It will be held within the International Combat Week, which also features other activities and events such as the ninth edition of Brave MMA championships held under the title “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions”.
