Bahraini boy who fought kidney illness dies

ManamaA four-year-old Bahraini boy who got his kidneys resected when he was only seven-months old passed away during a kidney transplant operation in France on Tuesday.

Jawad Sadiq has been the talk of the town for the past few months as his trauma out of continual dialysis processes had drawn the empathy of the society.

The kid’s case is the first of its kind in the Kingdom in his age group, undergoing dialysis for 12 hours every day.

Moreover, the boy’s father’s sacrifice of his kidney to save his son’s life has been a heart-rending story shared by several local and regional activists, columnists and netizens.

However, following the transplant procedure that the boy underwent in France last month, his condition drastically deteriorated, according to reports.

He was kept under observation for two weeks, but eventually he succumbed to the complications of the procedures and passed away on Tuesday.
