Al Romaihi triumphs in Horse Pride Championship
Manama : Maayof Al Romaihi on horse Alvera wins the level one for senior show jumpers in the second round of the Horse Pride Championship.
This contest featured obstacles of 95-105cm and the eventual winner rounded off a flawless performance in 20.95 seconds, staving off a fierce competition from second-place winner Sami Ghazwan (23.02 seconds) who was riding Miss Adhary.
The latter, however, made up for his first place miss by securing the title of the second competition for senior show jumpers, also riding Miss Adhary. He amassed 44 points after flawlessly completing the contest in 36.91 seconds. Ahmed Mansor took second place, finishing almost six seconds behind the victor.
Meanwhile, Ahmed Isa was on top form, winning first place of the level 1 and level 2 junior events.
Furthermore, the Horse Pride Championship featured several female Saudi show jumpers, who praised Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) for its support to them.
The championship concluded at the Bahrain Military Sports Federation course, where a fierce competition was witnessed across all the competitions that were designed to accommodate different performance levels and age groups. The championship aimed at preparing horsemen for the 2017-2018 horse jumping season.
