Bahrain Sea Festival concludes with remarkable success
Manama : The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has successfully concluded the second edition of the Sea Festival held at Bahrain Bay between the 26th of October and 4th of November 2017.
Visitors of all ages and families enjoyed a unique experience that included many exciting indoor and outdoor activities such as virtual reality games, live performances, surfing simulators and many more. Additionally, visitors were exposed to traditional sea-related handicrafts and also had the opportunity to learn about the history of Bahrain’s sea industry through modern technology in order to preserve it for the future generations.
“We take great pride in the success witnessed by the ‘Sea Festival’ which showcased the history of Bahrain’s sea-faring profession among other activities. The festival attracted thousands of visitors from the neighboring GCC countries and from across the region over a ten-day period. The BTEA aims to revive the Kingdom’s legacy by hosting such unique events which can be enjoyed by the entire family, and can attract tourism into the country,” said the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, H.E. Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
The ‘Sea Festival’ comes in line with the BTEA’s long term strategy to further develop the Kingdom’s tourism sector under the slogan of ‘Ours.Yours.’, which contributes towards the Kingdom’s economy and the 2030 Economic Vision.
