Top IFFCO honour for Dr Jawahery

Manama :  Fertiliser giant Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) has honoured Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery in recognition of his role in the development of the fertilizer industry at the regional and global level.

The honour, which came at IFFCO’s 50th anniversary celebrations in New Delhi, also recognised Dr. Jawahery’s efforts to enhance communication between fertiliser companies and named him as a pioneer in the field.

IFFCO Managing Director Rakesh Kapur, Senior Company Officials and representatives of global fertiliser companies were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Kapur said Dr. Jawahary has been recognised for his leadership of GPIC, the Arab Fertiliser Association (AFA) and the International Fertiliser Industry Association (IFA). 

He said Dr. Jawahery is one of the most important regional figures who have contributed to the development of the petrochemical and fertilizer industry with his leadership skills as well as his role in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection. 

Dr. Jawahery thanked IFFCO for the honour and praised the welcome and the hospitality he received.
