Bahraini man dies while exercising
Manama : A Bahraini man died while exercising near Qal’at Al Bahrain (Bahrain Fort) on the northern coasts of the Capital yesterday.
Identified as Ali Al Showaikh, a renowned engineer from Barbar village, the man suddenly collapsed while jogging near the site at around 4pm yesterday.
Bystanders attempted to revive the man, but paramedics announced him dead on the spot, confirming that the cause of death was a cardiac arrest.
At least ten people, including citizens and residents, died while they performed different types of sports in public this year.
This comes amidst calls to increase first-aid awareness and training among citizens and residents to possibly save lives in similar incidents.
