Non-Resident Indians meet in Bahrain
Manama : Massive global support has been pouring in for the proposed Pravasi Sammelan of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and People of Indian Origin (PIOs) to be held in Bahrain from January 6 to 9, 2018 at the Gulf Hotel Convention Center.
General Dr. V. K. Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs, Government of India, will inaugurate the GOPIO International Convention on January 6th evening followed by the presentation of the Indian Women Achievers Samman in collaboration with GOPIO and NRI Achievers Magazine.
On January 7th, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, former External Affairs Minister, and top leaders of BJP - the ruling party of India will address delegates coming from nearly 40 countries.
On evening of the same day, the Global Indian Businessmen Award will be given in collaboration with GOPIO and Business India Magazine, a 37-year-old publication from Delhi.
Chandan Mitra, Editor, The Pioneer and former MP, Muralidhar Rao, National General Secretary, BJP and Nalin Kohli, BJP Spokesman, have agreed to be speakers at different sessions.
Sam Pitroda, the Global Telecommunications Exponent will conduct a detailed session with the delegates on January 8th.
Former Prime Ministers, former Heads of State, and members of the House of Lords are expected to attend the three-day conference.
Among notable attendees include King Goodwill Zwelithini Ka- Bhekuzulu from South Africa who will also attend with 25 delegates.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Phadnavis and Chief Whip of the Assembly Raj Purohit, a lifetime member of GOPIO will be attending with a large number of business delegates.
