118 drivers to suit up for WEC weekend at BIC

ManamaA total of 118 drivers from all over the world will be competing in the FIA WEC Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain weekend at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

This field of talent includes some of motorsport’s top stars of the present and the future, and they will be showcasing their skills in four different series, headlined by the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Other races supporting the WEC include the World Series Formula V8 3.5, the MRF Challenge and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.

The BIC Paddock, along with the main and support pits, continued to be busy yesterday as the WEC family stepped up their preparations for racing.

A majority of the drivers competing this weekend have already arrived in Bahrain. They will be able to get into their cars for the official start to racing on Thursday.

On Friday and Saturday, the gates will be open for the public to attend and enjoy all the racing as well as off-track family entertainment. Fans will be able to enter at 9am on both days. Gates close at 9pm on Friday and at 11pm on Saturday.
