For a better world for the children
Manama : Bahrain For All in association with the Ministry of Interior announced organising an event to mark ‘Universal Children’s Day’ on Saturday at the Safra Girls School.
Established by the United Nations in 1954, Universal Children’s Day is celebrated each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare.
Commenting on the event in Bahrain, Bahrain For All Founder, Nivedita Dhadphale, told DT News that several activities are planned on the occasion for the children “to help better their lives, fight for their rights and fulfil their potential”.
Activities planned include children performances, recycling workshop, colouring stations, face painting and many more.
The event, Dhadphale said, includes special performances of children from Oman, Sudan, Egypt and Hidd Rehabilitation Centre for Special Needs.
Performances by ministry’s band as well as a contingent from the Mounted Police will mark the opening ceremony. The event, open to all, will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
