Tubli Bay walkway to be officially opened today
Manama : Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Nabil Abu Al Fath will open the Tubli Bay Walkway at a celebratory function organised by the ministry today.
“The celebration will include games and competitions for children, as well as walkathon and healthcare activities in the presence of public figures to create an atmosphere of family fun at the site,” a statement issued by the ministry yesterday read.
DT News reported on Sunday that this is the first phase of the project, which includes two stages. The first stage cost was BD500, 000, according to Joint Municipal Services Director Ibrahim Al Jowder.
The walkway extends along the sea front of more than 400 meters and has parking spaces enough to accommodate 65 vehicles.
The ministry confirmed in its statement that the celebration is open for public and that “all are invited to attend the opening of Tubli Bay Walkway and enjoy the accompanying activities that will continue until the evening”.
