Sixth Arab Human Development Forum held in Bahrain
Manama : The sixth Arab Human Development Forum will be held on Saturday at Golden Tulip hotel under the theme ‘Youth are the nation’s pulsing heart and dynamism”.
The forum, organised by Bahrain Women Association – for Human Development (BWA) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will discuss the recently released Arab Human Development Report (AHDR).
The report titled “Youth and the Prospects for Human Development in a Changing Reality” is sponsored by UNDP. Speaking to reporters at a Press Conference held yesterday, Ebtesam Zaid, Forum Project Manager said, “The event intends to portray the realities of young people, understanding their needs, visions, and the challenges with the intention of contributing to a stronger involvement of youth.”
“The Bahrain Women Association – for Human Development(BWA), play an important role in promoting and participating in the work of the UN, being the first and only NGO in Bahrain holding a consultative status in the UN Economic and Social Council,” Zaid added.
