BRAVE will turn MMA into a global sport: Al-Selwady
Manama : Veteran coach, manager and the father of Abdul Kareem Al Selwady believes Brave Combat Federation will transform and assimilate mixed martial arts as a global sport. According to the veteran coach and highly distinguished martial artist, mixed martial arts has progressed at an astonishing rate within a short time in Middle East.
“The world is taking Middle Eastern athletes seriously due to the intervention of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This is transforming lives of athletes and bringing definitive changes. I suggest the inclusion of the elderly in a much organised and protective way as well. This will help to utilise their treasure of knowledge they hold as well as bringing forward many legends who would like to experience the latest developments themselves. Also working alongside elderly legends will transfer values and ethics to the new generation of martial artists.”, said Husam Mubarak.
Husam also explained his happiness about the success of his son, Abdul Kareem Al Selwady. Abdul Kareem is undefeated in Brave Combat Federation and is one of the elite who will be chasing the championship title in the coming days. Abdul Kareen Al-Selwady fought the veteran Erick Silva from Brazil who was on a nine fight winning streak. Not only Abdul ended his winning streak but defeated his opponent in a dominant fashion.
