AMH Golf Tournament concludes
Manama : The third and final day of golfing for the 2017 AMH Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament – concluded on the Private Golf Course of His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Saffriya.
Excitement was escalating with the last 10 teams all vying to win this prestigious and unique tournament. With the end of play on the third day, the 20th Anniversary of the AMH Island Classic was successfully completed.
Speaking at the end of the tournament AMH Chief Medical Officer/CEO, Dr. George Cheriyan said, “It is a matter of great pride for me that we have successfully hosted the 20th AMH Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament. It goes without saying that the contribution of a lot of people has resulted in this great achievement. We thank our kind patron H.M. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa without whose support and generosity this event could not be held.
Julia Tovey, COO of American Mission Hospital said, “I would like to thank everyone who played a role in the enormous success of the event. Our deepest appreciation to the sponsors whose loyal support ensures that we run the tournament year after year, the golfers who delight us with their skills and showmanship, His Majesty’s golf course staff for their in-valuable co-operation and assistance and not to forget our precious volunteers who give freely of their time to come down and support the event.”
Overall Results For The Three Days:
The Championship Flight was won by E.K.Kanoo 2, this team being the one with the lowest score over the three days for all teams with a handicap average of more than 6.0.
In overall second place was Coca Cola and in third place overall was Jawad Business Group
The Premier Flight was won by Ministry of Interior, this team being the one with the lowest score over the three days for all teams with a handicap average of 5.9 or less.
In overall second place was Saffriya and in overall third place was Bahrain Golf Association the winners for Flight E for the final day were:
