Kooheji inspires Bahraini athletes
Manama : The victory of Hamza Kooheji over Mohammed Farhad is creating waves in the martial arts community in Bahrain. Hamza Kooheji has a three fight winning streak in Brave Combat Federation and is one of the top contenders in the Bantamweight division of the Brave Combat Federation.
The overwhelming victory that humbled Mohammed Farhad has inspired Bahraini athletes to take the next big step to focus on representing the Kingdom of Bahrain on professional level.
Bahrain has one of the strongest amateur mixed martial arts teams in the world. During 2017, KHK MMA Fight Team represented the Kingdom of Bahrain in IMMAF European Open, Asian Open and African Open prior to the 2017 IMMAF World Championships in Bahrain. As more and more fighters are gaining experience they are focused to compete at a professional level. The change is triggering a new opportunity for Bahraini athletes. Hamza is one of the first Bahraini fighters who was nurtured under the system implemented under the leadership of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
