No room for difference on national security: PM
Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday issued a stern warning that laxity in dealing with anything that may affect the security of the Kingdom or is meant to spread panic among the citizens or impede the development process will not be tolerated.
“There may be divergent opinions about anything except for the security of the nation on which there is no room for difference,” he said.
The Prime Minister was receiving a number of officials and citizens, with whom he reviewed local, regional and global issues.
Citing the challenges faced by the region in the form of terrorism, HRH Premier told the meeting that there is a need to spread awareness among people on the nature of those dangers as well as “on the purposes of those seeking to spread chaos and divide among societies”.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain is small in size, but big in its achievements and dedication of its people, and this is a source of pride,” the Premier said saluting the loyalty and handwork of the people of Bahrain.
The world, HRH the Premier said, is heading towards unlimited scientific and technological development. “This should be adapted to serve humanity and consolidate everything that may contribute to promoting peace and security.”
On continuing the Kingdom’s development march, the Premier said, “We will continue doing all that we can in the fields of development, security and stability.”
HRH the Prime Minister also stressed the importance of preserving the Kingdom’s rich heritage and history through informing the future generations about their country’s civilisational and cultural legacy.
