Crown Prince, prominent US business leaders hold talks

ManamaHis Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met several US business leaders at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC. yesterday. 

Prominent among them were: Brendan P. Bechtel, Chairman and CEO of Bechtel Group Inc.; Linda McMahon, Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA); Todd Lamar Smith, Chief Financial Officer of International and Vice President at General Electric Company; Karan Krishna Bhatia, Vice President and Senior Counsel at General Electric Company; Douglas J. Pferdehirt, Chief Executive Officer of Technip FMC; and Daniel Myers, Executive Vice President of Global Integrated Supply Chain at Mondelez International.

HRH Crown Prince highlighted the positive levels of the ongoing cooperation between Bahrain and U.S. enterprises, while noting the deep-rooted bilateral ties that exist between the two    countries.

HRH Crown Prince also highlighted the government’s commitment to fulfilling the strategic development goals underpinning Bahrain’s ‘Economic Vision 2030’ and its foundational principles of sustainability, competitiveness, and fairness.

 His Royal Highness stressed the importance of continuing to secure international investments in order to support Bahrain’s ambitious development goals and deliver even further prosperity for its citizens.

His Royal Highness went on to acknowledge that the series of recently announced agreements, amounting to $10 billion will directly benefit the private sectors in both Bahrain and the U.S.

A series of Bahrain-US agreements were announced during an event held in collaboration between the American Chamber of Commerce and the US-Bahrain Business Council.
