‘Women equal partners to men in engineering’

President of the Association of Engineering Offices Mazen Al Umran congratulates his female colleagues on this special occasion that reflect Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa’s belief in the role women engineers have played in building a strong infrastructure for Bahrain and continuing since the 1970s to have a positive contribution towards Bahrain’s growth

Al Umran said this event also highlights the significance of looking into what more needs to be done to integrate Bahraini women in different engineering specializations.

He added that women have been equal partners to men in this field and have proved success year after year through tangible results we can all see.

The association formed in the year 2013 is a professional body representing the business and professional interests of firms and individuals engaged in the practice of Consulting Engineering. 

Al Umran said it adds as the voice of the Consulting Engineering profession, assists in resolving issues of importance for clients and consultants alike and contributes to the development of relevant public policy through involvement in working groups, government committees, and the development of policy papers and the like.

He added that the association encourages its members to have regard to the public interest particularly in the areas of health & safety in the discharge of their duties.

“Our objective is to seek to ensure that integrity, competence and quality remain the hallmarks of Association membership and to find ways of encouraging members to uphold these principles.”
