Campaign to clean up tourist areas launched in Bahrain

ManamaCapital Governorate yesterday launched a campaign to clean up tourist areas in the capital starting from Bab Al Bahrain. 

The first phase of the campaign will start from from Bab Al Bahrain in cooperation with the Culture and Antiquities Authority and the Capital Secretariat Council. 

The participants in the campaign cleaned the area of Bab Al Bahrain and the old Manama market with the assistance of from Hassan Abdullah Al Madani; Communication and Promotion of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Engineer Shawqiya Humaidan; Director of Technical Services Department in the Capital Secretariat Council, Jamil Al Rowaii; Director of Engineering and Investment Services in the Capital Governorate, and Jassim Al Dosari, Gulf City cleanings and various other voluntary bodies including several youth  and a  group  of  parents.

Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate stressed on the keenness to maintain the tourist areas, stating that the campaign comes in line with increasing the cleanliness of the environment and the place in the tourist areas, as well as increasing the level of public awareness towards achieving the aesthetic element in the Kingdom in general and the capital in particular, which the governorate assigns to spread its content among the parents and guests of Bahrain.

The Governor further explained that the Capital Governorate has started the first activity of the campaign to clean the Bab Al Bahrain area and the old Manama market as it is one of the most important initiatives launched this year in order to establish the importance of cleanliness and  beauty  of  the  capital  area.
