Bahrain FM hits out at Iran for using Palestine
Manama : Iran is living on the sufferings of the Palestinian people for decades and is utilising their cause to ensure that terrorist organisations, such as Hezbollah, remain, said Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khlifa yesterday.
“The biggest harm to the Palestinian cause is those who benefit from the sufferings of the people of Palestine”, the minister said on Twitter, in a direct reference to Iran, Hezbollah, the Muslims Brotherhood and other groups that exploit the Palestinian sufferings to gain support and legitimacy.
“Openness and clarity are required. Our hearts are with His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, who knows that the Islamic Republic has no appreciation for the continued suffering of the Palestinian people to continue the survival of Hezbollah terrorists,” Shaikh Khalid said.
In a series of tweets on Twitter, he referred to the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who was received by the Saudi monarch on Wednesday to discuss the latest developments and reaffirm the Saudi supporting stance to the Palestinian people and state.
“It’s not helpful to pick a fight with the USA over side issues while we together fight the clear and present danger of the Theo-Fascist Islamic republic. Iran is sustained but the Islamic Republic is temporary. We need to protect our homeland, first and foremost, from Iranian Theo-Fascist agenda, so we can play our part in solving the Arab-Israel dispute, by achieving the two-state solution with East Jerusalem as the capital of independent fully sovereign Palestine,” the minister said earlier in tweets.
