Bereaved father seeks justice after son’s death in Bahrain

RiffaArbind Kushwaha Kumar, the father of the four-year-old boy Aryan who was crushed to death in an accident on Thursday, is seeking legal action against the driver of an illegal taxi.

“One of the teachers from the Indian School Bahrain had come to the building in the illegal taxi. Aryan was crushed under the taxi’s wheels. The incident happened while the taxi was entering the compound. He was playing in the residential building when he got trapped under the front and rear wheel as the driver took the taxi forward speedily,” said the grief-stricken father, narrating the incident.

After the accident, the driver did not take the initiative to take the child to the hospital and he ran away. My friends had to take the child to the BDF hospital, where he was declared dead. It’s clear from the CCTV footage which has already been given to the police,” he said.

Terming the incident  a hit-and-run case, he said: “I urge the authorities to take legal action against the driver to help us get justice.”

The four-year-old boy Aryan, an LKG student at the Indian School Bahrain, lost his life when he was playing with his friends in the building compound on Thursday.
